Today, we packed up the food into daily ration packs. Then we transferred it to rented space in a commercial freezer. No more mouldy biscuits and rancid butter for me! Two months food for five people in a few bags. It looks like nothing when finally sitting in a pile, but it is always so much effort to get it all together!
Our tents arrived with no snow flaps ... pretty much essential in Anarctica, so Chris and I found a place that would sew some rip-stop nylon flaps around the bottom of the tent ... the only color available ... camo!
The weather is improving in Antarctica but there are two flights to go before us. If we are lucky we will leave on Nov 18 or 19.
