A skier approaches Mt Thor with its 5000 foot vertical overhang
Today Tessum turned 22 years of age. His birthday gift was to camp with a fantastic view of Mount Thor. For dinner they started with Weber cocktails (hot milk, maple syrup, whiskey) then for appetizers, smoked salmon, cheese and biscuits. Then chicken marabella for main course, followed by chocolate for dessert. His companions took a scrap piece of paper and wrote Tessum a funny birthday card. Which goes to show that a great birthday doesn’t have to be complicated!
The team skied down the frozen river from Summit Lake to Mount Thor. In the summer the river is rapids. In winter it is a bumpy, icy slope. Very interesting skiing! The weather has not been great, a lot of overcast and some snow. Today the view cleared for a good view of Mt Thor.
Tessum and a couple of the guys are sleeping outside tonight. Demon (the dog) will keep them company.
